2009-12-24 14:11:03 BAPTISM OF THE NEW FOUR MOORING BOATS OF CEMESA - Port of Barcelona CEMESA has celebrated the christening ceremony of 4 new mooring boats with the assistance of the President of the Port Authority of Barcelona, Jordi Valls, as well as numerous members of the port community. The President of Cemesa, Guillermo Trueba, referred in his speech to the commitment of Cemesa within the Port Commune by making a resume of the 4 decades of history of the Company among the docks.
2009-12-24 14:11:39 CEMESA COMPLETES THE SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAM FOR THE 22 MOORING MEN DESTINATED TO YEMEN - Port of Barcelona CEMESA has been awarded a contract for the performance of Marine Terminal Operations & Services in the LNG Terminal, property of Yemen LNG, placed in Balhaf, Republic of Yemen. The contract, which will last 5 years and is extendible for an extra 2 years, specifies that the training of the personnel in charge of the services should be carried out by Cemesa. For this reason, a team of 22 Yemeni mooring men attended the specific courses, focused in emergency plans and maneuver of gas shipbunkers in the facilities of Cemesa and the Port of Barcelona.
2009-12-24 14:33:59 CEMESA MOORES THE FIRST LNG TANKER IN Yemen The first pilotage and mooring maneuver, carried out by the specialized personnel of Cemesa located in the area, took place on October 31st in the pretty new Yemen LNG Terminal of Balhaf, in Southern Yemen. This achievement is of great significance for Cemesa, if we take into account that the whole personnel: mooring crew (skippers, sailors and jetty linesman) of Yemeni nationality; and pilots, coming from different countries, have been specially trained by Cemesa in accordance to the most strict and highest levels of professionalism and security. On June 2008, Cemesa has been awarded a contract for the technical-nautical mooring and Pilot Services of the LNG Terminal located in Yemen. Up to now, Cemesa is also responsible for the Patrol Boat Services (for the exclusion zone of the Terminal) and the supply of these Boats. Leading the project is Captain Daniel Garc�a Mend�a, well-known in the sector and who has worked a good part of his career in the Port of Barcelona. Cemesa has a total of 88 professionals dedicated to these operations in Yemen |
